I had to call for an electrician this afternoon as we had the power going off in several rooms of the house. I was given Anthony Orozco's card from another business who happened to be here. Anthony got back with me right away and within 20 minutes he was at my house. It was Friday and after 2pm. He had to replace a circuit breaker in one of our panels. I was so impressed that he was able to come out on a Friday afternoon, complete the work, and be so professional and courteous. I will definitely recommend Good Neighbors Electric to everyone.

I called Good Neighbor Electric in the morning to get a quote for the insulation of my Electric Vehicle (EV)charger. My EV charger requires a 100 AMP circuit and I wasn’t sure if my panel had the capacity for it. Anthony came out to the house that afternoon to check out the electrical panel, EV charger, and site. I received a quote the next day. After obtaining competitive quotes from other companies I found Good Neighbor Electric to be the best price. We scheduled the installation for the following week. Anthony’s people showed up on time and were very professional and courteous. During the installation Anthony came out to inspect and oversee the job. I couldn’t be happier with the installation, my charger looks good on the wall and is working flawlessly. I highly recommend Good Neighbor Electric for your electrical needs and I will be using them in the future.

We needed an electrical outlet installed for our new tankless water heater. Tony came out to provide us a quote. He looked at all the possible ways to configure the circuit and chose the best one for our situation. He was very knowledgeable. Also, contacting him was easy and he had great communication with any questions we had. Later, when the technician came to install the circuit and outlet, they were on time, efficient and the result was just what we needed. We would definitely use them again.

Needed Tony to help me out with a remodel of my sister's medical office in SLO. We had our time line pushed up and I needed 50 data drops pulled by tomorrow, before insulation and drywall started. Tony got his crew together and saved the day! He ran ~3k' of Cat6 in two trips. Time was of the essence but he still managed to make it neat and presentable. We couldn't be happier with Good Neighbors Electric!

Tony, Skyler, Eli, and Adam were phenomenal! Setting up a big, new 200 Amp panel to replace an ancient 50 Amp panel, and all that goes with that for a 70-year old house, whew!! The team is happy, fast, upbeat, and creative. I believe there's nothing they can't do! New she-shed wired up, garage tricked out, and house safe and sound, thank you Tony and team, you are a wonderful group, we enjoyed every minute. And that's saying a lot when it comes to construction! To top it off, Good Neighbors Electric quoted a very fair price, arranged permitting and inspections, and went the extra mile to accommodate last minute ideas. 😊 Thank you, thank you, we will wholeheartedly refer you to everyone!

I can not say enough good things about this company! Absolutely incredible service, communication, and the work was amazing! The crew came out, replaced my 1965 electric box. They did the permit, they fixed the stucco after pulling the old box out. I would use them over any other electrician out there!

Anthony and his crew were amazing! First of all, he was able to come over the same day I contacted him to see the job and get started on a quote. I’d been given the runaround from other companies, so working with Anthony was like a sweet relief. Job was finished perfectly the following week & they even fixed a couple extra switches that were wired funky by a previous electrician. I will definitely be calling Good Neighbors Electric for all my future needs and recommending them to everyone I know! Thanks again guys!

The Importance of Hiring a Licensed Review in Santa Margarita, CA

Santa Margarita properties often combine older homes, detached outbuildings, and long service runs across rural land. A licensed electrician understands the unique challenges of these mixed installations. State licensing requires years of apprenticeship, classroom hours, and a comprehensive exam. Unpermitted electrical work can void homeowners insurance and complicate property sales. Permits create documentation that supports valuations and protects your investment for decades. Licensed electricians carry liability and workers’ comp insurance covering both their crew and your property. They also recognize hidden hazards like knob-and-tube wiring, aluminum branch circuits, and undersized rural services. Hot summers and cold mountain mornings stress aging panels and connections. DIY mistakes on long feeder runs often hide for years before causing fires or outages. Good Neighbors Electric brings the credentials and rural experience your Santa Margarita property deserves.

We Offer Electrical Services in Santa Margarita, CA and Surrounding Areas

Good Neighbors Electric provides residential electrical services beyond Santa Margarita, CA across nearby Central Coast communities. Homeowners in surrounding areas rely on us for panel upgrades, EV chargers, generators, wiring, and reliable electrical work done right. Explore our service area below:

Electrician in Santa Margarita, CA

Electrical service upgrades are common on Santa Margarita properties as homeowners add modern appliances, heat pumps, and EV chargers. Older 100-amp services often run out of capacity for these loads. We install 200-amp and 400-amp services with new meters, panels, and grounding electrodes. PG&E coordination, permits, and county inspections are all handled in-house. Surge protection and labeled circuits come standard with every new panel. Subpanels add capacity for shops, barns, and ADUs without replacing the main service. Upgraded electrical systems prepare your property for future technology. A modern panel also raises home value at resale.

Generator installation gives Santa Margarita residents reliable backup power during PSPS events, storms, and grid outages. Standby generators start automatically when utility power drops. We size systems based on your actual loads, including well pumps, refrigeration, and HVAC. Propane is a popular fuel choice on rural properties since tanks can be sized for long runtimes. Transfer switches isolate generator power from utility lines for line worker safety. Whole-property generators can run wells, freezers, and shop tools through extended outages. Battery backup systems pair well with rooftop solar for clean, quiet backup power. Reliable backup matters most when you live miles from the nearest neighbor.

Trenching services connect detached structures, well pumps, gates, and outdoor lighting to power. We dig trenches at code-required depths to protect buried conductors. Long runs require larger conductors to compensate for voltage drop. Underground Service Alert markings keep us clear of existing utilities before digging starts. Direct-burial cable, PVC conduit, and rigid metal each have specific applications. Rocky soil common in Santa Margarita needs proper bedding to protect the wiring. Our team backfills, compacts, and restores the surface so your land looks untouched. A clean trench job sets the stage for decades of reliable service.

Electrical inspection helps Santa Margarita homeowners and buyers understand the condition of systems spread across multiple buildings. We check the main panel, subpanels, well controls, and outbuilding circuits. Thermal imaging reveals hot spots that signal failing connections. Older Santa Margarita homes sometimes hide cloth-insulated wiring or undersized services. Buyers appreciate inspection reports that document system condition before closing. Insurance companies sometimes require inspections on older properties. Reports include photos and prioritized recommendations in plain language. A thorough inspection catches small problems before they grow into expensive repairs.

Hot tub wiring is a popular service for Santa Margarita homeowners enjoying clear country nights. Spas need dedicated 240-volt circuits with GFCI protection. The disconnect must be within sight of the tub but at least five feet from the water. We trench conduit at proper depth to protect the wiring underground. Bonding the spa frame, pump, and surrounding decking prevents stray voltage shocks. Salt-water spas use chlorine generators that draw extra load on the circuit. Our team sizes everything to the manufacturer’s nameplate specifications. A safely wired hot tub gives you years of relaxation under the stars.

Outdoor lighting installation transforms Santa Margarita properties for both beauty and security. Path lights guide guests safely along driveways and walkways. Uplights highlight oaks, native plants, and architectural features. Motion-activated security floods deter intruders without burning all night. Low-voltage systems run cooler and use less power than line-voltage fixtures. We bury wiring at proper depth to prevent damage from gardening and irrigation. Smart timers and app controls add scheduling flexibility. Dark-sky compliant fixtures protect Santa Margarita’s beautiful country views. Quality outdoor lighting raises curb appeal and home value.

Home addition wiring often involves casitas, guest quarters, and ADUs on Santa Margarita properties. New construction needs full circuit planning, including AFCI and GFCI protection where required. We size new subpanels based on the loads they will serve. Outlet spacing, lighting layouts, and dedicated appliance circuits all follow current code. Heat pumps and mini-splits need their own dedicated circuits with proper disconnects. We coordinate with framers, drywallers, and inspectors to keep the build on schedule. Smart home pre-wiring adds value without adding much cost during construction. A well-wired addition feels seamless with the original home.
