Built on being a good neighbor
The name is not a slogan we landed on in a meeting. Good Neighbors Electric started in 2016 on the idea that a house belongs to somebody, and that the person who owns it deserves to understand what is happening inside their own walls. We are based in Atascadero, we live in the towns we serve, and there is a reasonable chance we will run into you at the store the week after we finish your panel.
That is a useful kind of accountability. It means we would rather lose an afternoon explaining why a repair is not worth doing than sell it to you, and it is why our reviews keep using the same words — on time, explained it, cleaned up, no pressure.
What we actually believe about electrical work
Electricity is the one system in a house where a shortcut does not announce itself. A bad joint behind drywall looks exactly like a good one for years, right up until it does not. So our approach is unglamorous and deliberate: diagnose properly before quoting, do the work to code, pull the permit, and leave the panel labelled so the next person — including the next electrician — can read what we did.
We handle the parts most homeowners dread. Permits are pulled and inspections scheduled by us. When a job needs coordination with the city or with PG&E, we do that coordinating and keep you posted rather than handing you a phone number. You should not have to project-manage your own electrician.

If something we installed needs attention inside two years, we come back and put it right. No debate about whose fault it is, no invoice for the return visit. We would rather carry that risk than have you carry the doubt — and it keeps us honest about how we do the work in the first place.
