Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

Good Neighbors Electric ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit this website or contact us, what we do with it, and what we deliberately do not do.

The short version

We do not run advertising trackers on this site, we do not set cookies of our own, and we do not sell or rent your information to anybody. The only information we hold about you is what you choose to send us when you ask for help with electrical work.

What we collect when you contact us

When you submit a form or call us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, phone number, email address, the city you are in, and a description of the work you need. We collect it for one reason: to respond to you, quote the work, and carry it out if you decide to go ahead.

What this website collects automatically

This site does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or similar tracking. We do not set cookies for analytics or marketing, and we do not build a profile of your browsing.

Like any website, the servers that host this site keep standard technical logs — things like the pages requested and the general location of the request — which our hosting provider uses to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use those logs to identify individual visitors.

The third parties involved

Two services touch this site, and it is worth naming them plainly.

  • Netlify hosts the website and processes the forms. When you submit a form, your message passes through Netlify before it reaches our inbox.
  • Google Maps supplies the map embedded on our contact page. Loading that page loads content from Google, which is subject to Google's own privacy practices. The rest of the site does not load anything from Google.

How we use what you send us

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to prepare and discuss an estimate, to schedule and perform work, and to follow up about that work. If we need to share your details with a supplier, a permitting authority, or an inspector to complete your job, we share only what that task requires.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote.

Phone calls and text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may call or text you about your enquiry, your appointment, or work in progress. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, and we will still be able to reach you by phone.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we are working with you, and job records for as long as we are required to for warranty, tax, licensing, and legal purposes. Enquiries that do not become work are kept only as long as they are useful and are then deleted.

Your rights in California

California residents have rights over their personal information, including the right to know what we hold about you, to ask for a copy of it, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front — but you are welcome to ask us to confirm that.

To make any of these requests, call us at (805) 610-5530 or use our contact form. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging electrical work. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as financial or identification details through a web form.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
